Opportunities for Project Developers

EcoMetrix Africa believes that innovation is required to secure a sustainable future for Africa. To encourage the independent project developer to pursue innovation in renewable energy technologies EcoMetrix Africa is rolling out a carbon finance program. This program will lower the barrier to enter the carbon finance markets, and reduce the costs incurred by the project developers. Participating in the carbon markets will support these renewable energy initiatives while advancing the objectives of sustainable development for Africa. The program will focus on the following core renewable technologies:

• Landfill gas to energy technology
• Biomass to energy technology
• Solar thermal energy technology – Southern Africa Solar Thermal Energy Programme
• Solar electrical energy technology – Southern Africa Solar Electrical Energy Programme
• Wind energy technology
